Joe Howe
History
2006-07: Played his sophomore season with Wayzata H.S. in Plymouth, Minnesota, where he was also the team’s captain. Selected by the Black Hawks in the 7th round of phase 2 (expansion team format) of the 2007 USHL Entry Draft.
2007-08: Joined to the Waterloo Black Hawks for his first season in the USHL. Fellow netminder Matthew DiGirolamo saw the majority of the minutes, only because Howe was battling mono off the ice.
Talent Analysis
Howe’s mental edge and preparation skills far surpass many players in the league. He’s a student of the game, who spends time analyzing film. His attitude and approach has a good influence on the rest of the team. He does however make youthful mistakes at time but that should work itself out over time.
Future
There are schools interested in Howe’s services, however he remains uncommitted at this time.
