History
2002-03: Brodziak was drafted late in the 2003 draft and was one of the participants in Edmonton's first ever Top Prospects camp in June of the same year. He was the last forward cut from Canada's 2003 WJC team. Named Moose Jaw's "hardest Working Player" and also "Unsung Hero" in 2002-03.
2003-04: Lead the Moose Jaw Warriors in scoring and finished 3rd in the WHL with 93 points. Brodziak represented the WHL against the touring Russian Selects in November and was named CHL player of the week for Oct. 27 - Nov. 2 after scoring 7 points in two games.
2004-05: Came on late in his rookie AHL year with the Road Runners and was one of the team's most consistent performers by the end of the season.
2005-06: Spent the year with the Iowa Stars in the AHL. Played both out of position and further down the depth chart than he would have on an Oilers run team. Offensive production suffered but defensive play improved.
2006-07: In Wilkes-Barre Scranton, Brodziak refound his offensive game after eraning the respect and trust of the coach. Finished the year as a team leader both on and off the ice. Saw a brief stretch of games in the NHL as an injury call up.

Talent Analysis
At 6'2 and nearly 200 lbs, Brodziak has the size to play the way he likes to. More agile than a typical power forward but stronger than many playmakers, Kyle is an overall offensively well rounded player.
An average skater with above average scoring ability, Brodziak has improved steadily as a pro in adverse conditions playing for teams not owned or operated by his NHL club.
Leadership and character have never been questioned with "Brodie" and he is well liked by his teammates.
Very effective at the faceoff dot.
Future
It's tough to gauge what Brodziak's top end really is because of the limitations he has thus far played under as a pro. When given the chance, he has shown he can be an offensive player and yet his defensive game is sound.
A solid two-way center that can definitely contribute at the NHL level, but to what degree is still unknown.
He is fighting an uphill battle within the Oilers organization as the system is log jammed with middle men. However, coach Craig MacTavish likes him and that is a plus. Could be a Marty Reasoner type of player.
